Gin & Juice (2020 Remix)

Gin Limoncello Drinks , Mixed Drinks with Blood Orange Liqueur , Mixed Drinks with Limoncello

When I think of all the disappointed fans of 1990s gansta rap hitting this page, I get a little giggly. It's the little things, ya know?

I'm one of those fans, so I hope this humor is broad enough to avoid any legal issues. Or, you know, Snoop just showing up and kicking my ass some day.

Gin & Juice, 2018 Remix - A Gin and Citrus Cocktail from LimoncelloQuest

Giving the drink that luscious color and flavor is a heaping helping of blood oranges. Blood orange liqueur and blood (again, Snoop would be unamused by this) orange juice. I don't know who sells that, so you'll probably have to fresh-squeeze it yourself. Sorry about that.

The Queen’s Cocktail

Mixed Drinks with Limoncello , Gin Limoncello Drinks

How do you make a gin and tonic that's fit for a queen? You add a little nectar of the gods to it.

The Queen of England was crowned in 1953. Think about that. She's been the queen longer that most people you know have been alive.

And do you think she lived that long, and with such vigor, by drinking your average gin and tonic?

No, no, no.

I think if you asked her, she'd attribute her longevity to this cocktail right here:

If you don't believe me, just ask her.

No access to the queen for Q&A?

Oh well, guess you'll have to take my word for it.

The Tommy Boy

Mixed Drinks with Limoncello , Gin Limoncello Drinks

This one was almost named "Fat Guy in a Little Coat" but I thought that name was too long. It is funnier though.

This is a recipe for a modified Tom Collins (a Limoncello Collins) that you can consume when you are fully prepared to do so. By which I mean, you have some Collins glasses. Don't try drinking this out of a coffee mug. That's a disgrace to all that is good and holy. If you can score some copper straws, you get extra points. Plastic straws are an abomination. They all end up in the ocean and fish really don't need straws.

This also turns a stodgy old drink into an ode to one of the all-time great comedic films. If you haven't seen Tommy Boy, there's a gaping hole in your cultural literacy that you need to plug ASAP with a visit to Netflix.

Limoncello Tom Collins

You'll laugh 'til you cry and learn many useful phrases. Probably the greatest of these is that any time someone physically hurts themselves, you'll know that the proper response is "That's gonna leave a mark."

Party Thyme Cocktail

Gin Limoncello Drinks , Mixed Drinks with Limoncello

Out of all the drinks on this site, this one is the punniest, so I apologize if that offends you. Of course if you're that easily offended, you won't be following my blog for long, so...

This cocktail makes use of the huge piles of herbs growing in my garden. Herbs are by far the easiest plant you can grow in a garden. So I grow huge piles of them and declare myself a master gardener (never you mind the wilted tomato plants and mold-covered squash leaves). Sort of like how I throw four ingredients together and declare myself a master liqueur maker--how you behave in one area of life is how you behave in all of them I guess.

Now, despite having the appearance of lemonade and the presence of healthy veggies in the garnish this is a strong drink. That's where the "party" comes in. So don't have too many or you'll end up prancing through your garden wearing nothing but your party hat. Just...trust me on that one...
